Blackpool, UK – Lancashire's only IMAX cinema welcomed local dignitaries, community leaders and invited guests on Friday evening for an exclusive VIP premiere of Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated new film, The Odyssey, at The Arc Cinema Blackpool.

The red carpet event celebrated the release of one of the year's biggest cinematic events while giving guests the opportunity to experience the cinema's recently refurbished facilities, including luxurious electric recliner seating and the all-new Prestige Duo reclining booths.

Among those in attendance were Deputy Mayor Councillor Carl Mitchell and Deputy Mayoress Councillor Diane Mitchell, John Barnett MBE, Councillor Mark Smith, and representatives from Blackpool Football Community Trust, Selina Hayes and Gemma Trickett. They were joined by local businesses, charities, partners and members of the media for an evening showcasing the very best of the big-screen experience.

The Odyssey is already making cinema history as the first feature film ever shot entirely using IMAX cameras, allowing audiences to experience every scene exactly as director Christopher Nolan intended. As the only IMAX screen in Lancashire, The Arc Cinema Blackpool offers film fans the region's most immersive way to experience the epic, with crystal-clear projection, breathtaking sound and an enormous IMAX screen.

The evening also highlighted the cinema's recent investment programme, with guests enjoying the newly refurbished auditoriums featuring luxury electric recliner seating throughout. They were also among the first to experience Prestige Duo, exclusive double reclining booths installed in the back row of each screen, offering couples and friends an even more comfortable and premium cinema experience.
